Rhythm - Week Three - Relationships (1 Samuel 18:1-4)

John Shades, 20 January 2019
Part of the Rhythm series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

As we reflect on our lives what do we reflect on? What do we wish we had given more of our lives too? Work? Social Media? Partying?
I don’t believe either of these is the answer. I believe one of the hardest things to build rhythms around, and prioritise, and, incidentally,  the bible says life is really all about, relationships.
How important are relationships with others to your life, and to your walk?
How much time do you factor in to spend time building relationships?
In this message John highlights the strength of friendship/relationship between David & Jonathan and Naomi and Ruth.

1 Samuel 18:1-4

1And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. 2And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. 3Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. 4And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.
